Beach Cycling, Sidewalk Sailing & TROMPE L'OEIL

If Monet was from Malibu, he could have painted this...

to deceive the eye...

OR, as they say in France,
trompe l'oeil...

and the terminal l is silent but the next page is not!

  1. Speaking of trompe l'oeil, there is a photograph
in the 2-DIE-4 PHOTO GALLERY entitled
    This is not Jackson Pollock.
    Where exactly was it photographed?
    And how was it photographed?

    1. Somewhere close to La Jolla on my way home
      from visiting Ray Peterssen.
I was driving to Burbank hours before the traffic
made being on the Golden State Freeway
      a horribly ugly experience.

With one hand, I steered the car flawlessly.
With the other hand, I had a snap attack
with my little Kodak camera: sometimes
      photographing what was in front of me;
      sometimes, behind me.
Sometimes, I shot what was alongside me.

      The "Not Jackson Pollock" photo
was taken through the driver's window.
But the window was badly in need of cleaning!
