Sillybles & BeatleSongs

___________________________________________________________________________________

Silly liberties with titles and syllables
enabled  Mr. & Mrs. CarPeo
to write a poem based
on the ten songs
performed by
the Beatles–
yesterpage

When I saw her standing there,
There was no doubt
All I could do was
Twist & shout

When she said
Roll over Beethoving
I gave her all my loving

Sadly it is true
She went
From me to you

I was bluer than blue
Because she loves you

BUT

Boys:
Fame & Fortune put the gold on me
MONEY!
You really got a hold on me

Glorious, glowing greenbacks
Be they old or new:
Me and my heart were penniless
Til there was You
