R.I.P. Charles Barsotti

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Charles Barsotti (1933-2014)
Charlie Barsotti, one of the great cartoonists, died yesterday.
Charlie drew close to fourteen hundred cartoons
for The New Yorker over the years, beginning
in the nineteen-sixties and continuing
right through last week’s issue.

The New Yorker tribute for Charlie Barsotti
made it terribly easy for me to post
four reasons why Ambrose Bierce
would have loved Charlie's
sense of humor.

There are more Barsotti cartoons on the next page.
