GoodFather Of Math: 1000 Page Salute
______________________________________________________________________________________
Forty-eight pages were about me.
Dawn Powell
"I get to speak on thirty-nine pages."
"So do I."
Twenty-nine pages are about us.
Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald
And the same number
of pages are about us.
The Beatles
Three cheers for all of the above.
But I appear on sixteen consecutive pages.
William Steig
But you can add the Steig pages
to thirty-one of our own.
New Yorker
For this, I got Nine Pages
but I had to die first.
J.D. Salinger
Don't bother to count
the pages where
we appear.
Art Daily
I watered the plants
of STREET ART UTOPIA
fourteen times.
Also, there are seven pages
dedicated to Banksy.
Sorry, Salinger
but I got ten pages!
Herman Melville
And we got all of sixteen pages.
Adan & Eva
Visibly or invisibly–according to him–
I am a part of every page!
Mrs. CarPeo

Footnote
Pardon my vanity, but it behooves me to acknowledge forty pages
with this silly (but un-punctuated) name: Photo-verio.

Why don’t they pass
a constitutional amendment
prohibiting anybody from learning anything?
If it works as well as Prohibition did,
in five years Americans would be
the smartest race on earth.

"Hey, sleepy face. Once again, you missed Marcel DuTramp."
"What did the Poet Laureate have to say today?"
"Well, a booming voice filled the coffee house:
WELCOME TO DECEMBER!
HE WAS BORN THIS MONTH.
The baristas silenced the espresso maker
and everyone stood at attention."
"Then what?"
"He recited the following:
Jesus was a Jew
until the resurrection, you know
then he discovered EGO:
I want a religion named after me!
All he wants every Christian to do
is remember they are all part Jew.
"He stopped right there but nobody made a sound."
"Too bad."
"Then he added All you need is love
and everybody applauded."
"Deservedly. But shame on me because I forgot
he had recited that poem to me on the Jetty.
"Shame on you but all we need is love."
