The Day After Tomorrow (CR #375)

_____________________________________________________________________________________

 Lent begins on Ash Wednesday,
which is the day after tomorrow.

For Lent, I am going to seek out
all the people I lent money too.

At least ten of them are still alive.

Forty days later, we celebrate
the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
by hiding painted eggs.

We eat a lot of chocolate bunnies
because Jesus Christ, after being
nailed to a cross,
rose from the dead.

The first words out of his mouth,
upon becoming undead, were
Why, I am doing this?

Every schoolteacher can answer that question:

He rose from the dead so that schools can shut down for Easter week–oops–I mean, spring recess.
