Oyster Coffee Summit (A Poem)

__________________________________________________________________

THE PATIO PALAVER PEOPLE

They drink their oyster coffee
decrying neighbors unseen
harpoon humor
with sugar and cream

Articulating ambush
with every sip
but none dare
call it gossip

In one final voice
they do so declare

“We do not gossip.
All we do is share!”
