Long Island (1925) |
Arthur Dove's image page
confirms why he is classified
as an American Abstract Painter.
He could also create
art without much paint
but with a sense of humor.
As someone who spent
more than half his life
on Long Island,
it behooves me to post
this Arthur Dove creation:
I might be inclined to refer to this image as a "memory box"
but I am too busy thinking about a vivid recollection of Long Island seashells.

Daisy's car?
ReplyDeleteDaisy Buchanan's car?
DeleteCould very well be...
with Jay Gatsby in the passenger seat.
In 1925...that could well be true...
and then the road would probably be
"Northern Boulevard."
