24/7 Palm Sunday

Outside the Aquarium of the Pacific...

Last month, there was a man
seated at a bus stop adjacent
to the Long Beach Aquarium.

When I took this picture,
he looked at me
and said

Aqui, cada día
es el Domingo
de Palmas.

  1. Are They Skydusters?
    Heaven can't be climbed
    And the fish can't swim
    To the sea.
    But the trees reach
    High as can be

    Of the skyduster

    Palms may be
    Satisfy hungry mouths

  3. The fruit of the skyduster
    Is neither sky nor dust

    Eat it? Almost none must
    But in palm trees
    We trust
