If a pebble could talk through a bullhorn in a such a way as to equate its behavior
with the Rock of Gibraltar, every other pebble on every beach in the world
would laugh out loud with disdain.
How dare that pebble compare herself with THE ROCK?
But what if the pebble were, in fact, a woman who likened her personal habit
to another woman who happened to have once been the most famous
and influential female on planet earth?
Then the pebble/woman parenthetically implies a superiority
to the other woman...but nobody laughs because
pebble/woman did not use a bullhorn.
She used her blog and it is not
"hard to comprehend."
But did Ms. PebbleWoman
have a 12-month pregnancy?

Even though I
haven't smoked
a cigarette in close to a year
(unlike Jackie Kennedy, I
chose to not smoke while I
was pregnant),
it's hard to comprehend.
The deferential equation is to the differential equation like chocolate is to chalk.
But who amongst us can live without chocolate?

The kind of humor I like is the thing that makes me laugh for five seconds and think for ten minutes = G. CARLIN...Stain glass, engraved glass, frosted glass
–give me plain glass = JOHN FOWLES...Music is the mathematics of the gods = PYTHAGORAS...Nothing is more fluid than language = R. L. SWIHART

Who is the author? Is a pebble and a rock the same composition.
ReplyDeleteWhat do dreams of hats mean anyway?
For all intents & purposes, the "author" of the quote
Deleteis Ms. PebbleWoman.
The cliche "between a rock and a hard place"
can be adjusted to define a pebble.
That is, a pebble is an existential state
"Somewhere between a rock and...sand."
The cliche "That's where it's at"
can be adjusted to answer your hat-dream question.
Dreaming of hats means "Hat's where it's at."
As you wrote this I dreamt of researching her photos in hats
ReplyDeleteSand is reformed into strong adobe, clay into ceramic
Hardness returns and atoms flow
If I were a hat
ReplyDeletethat adorned the head
of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy O.
You would know
that every other hat in the world
would be sooooooooo
jealous of me!
BUT
Better yet
You can bet
I'd rather be the cigaret
that touched her lips.
As she puffed
and we huffed...
The world would know
a firelight glow
of super- and sub-atomic flow.
Just like a man
ReplyDeleteIf that sounds "just like a man"
Deletethan I am proud of my gender!
