"The World's Favorite Television Show" Conclusion

_____________________________________________________________________________________

"The World's Favorite Television Show,"
began here and this GoodFather page
is pure mystery and gobblydygook
if you haven't read
what was there.

The Complete Book of Dallas
was published in 1986...
after 300 million viewers asked
WHO SHOT J.R.?

C. A. Robson designed this Abrams book
but elsewhere in GoodFather Land,
she is known as Mrs. CarPeo.

Ten percent of the two hundred hours
she spent on the DALLAS project
resulted in this cover image alone!

20  hours worth of an art designer's
blood, sweat and  tears...

The image to the left–
photographed last week–
is from my patio.

Carol mistook a lawn chair
for "green tights" framing
someone's butt crack.

But naturally the transparent
block-lettering of DALLAS
influenced how she cropped
photographs of nine actors
to shape the letters
D-A-L-L-A-S

Only the head of J.R. Ewing
defied cropping!

Footnote

C. A. Robson was also the designer
of another Suzy Kalter book:
The Complete Book of M*A*S*H

It was Carol's decision to use the word
GOODBYE on the back cover.

    1. But the curtain never closes
On the eyes, ears, or noses
Of the DALLAS characters of our TV nation
      Thanks to something called syndication.
