Not Momma But Comma (A M.A.M. Poem)

_________________________________________________________________________________

Frequency & Amplitude
needed Vinny the Vector.
Vinny was bigger than a hectare

(with room for a million cow
 but he was all arrow).

Freq spoke first
Amp then burst

"He's curvy and crooked.
  He is soooo bent."
"Vinny, please get rid
  of Wavy the Lent."

When bursting, his tongue
was not Amp's strength.
He was referring to Wavelength.

In his executive leather chair,
Vector tilted, then spoke
"It'll cost ya'–no joke."

"What's the vig?
  How much per week?"
Asked Freq.

"We want his fancy clothes.
 Take him nude."
Proclaimed Amplitude.

Again, Vinny the Vector spoke.
"Nude costs more–no joke."

"Whatever it be,"
said Frequency

"No price is too rude,"
added Amplitude.

"Sorry, boys. Wavelength is family–
 from the straight side."
POP went the Vector's gun:
Freq & Amp were shot, then died.

***

Later, Vinny told his mother
"Sometimes, I feel bad when I sin."
He didn't call her Mommy
He called her Origin.

He almost called her "Momma"
But the word was Comma:

This I know,
it belongs between Zero Zero.
He was her hero.

He sent people without detection
In one or another direction.
